David Milgaard
David Milgaard and friends drifted across western Canada in early 1969, ending up in Saskatoon,
Saskatchewan.
Gail Miller, a nursing student, ends up murdered at a bus stop on her way to work.
On the strenght of shoddy investigative procedures, sketchy forensics and unreliable witnesses, David Milgaard
ends up spending 23 years in prison for a crime he did not commit.
Finally exonerated, with the real suspect finally apprehended and behind bars, David is finally free. But
how? Twenty-three years cannot be made up. Shame on the police and the justice system. David, you are a hero to
many.
Robert Davis
New Orleans resident Robert Davis, 64, wanting to check on his property, asked police when the
curfew ended.
Three cops and a bashing later, Davis ended up with stitches beneath his left eye, bandaged
left hand and lacerations. Police accused him of intoxication (although he has not consumed alcohol since 1980), and
walking into one of their horses and becoming belligerant and resisting arrest. (Isn't that always the case?)
The City of New Orleans is well known for their corrupt police agency. I wish Robert
Davis well.
